A.  Intervention


25 U.S.C. § 1911(c)
In any state court proceeding for foster care placement or termination of parental rights to involving an Indian Child, the Indian custodian of the child in the child’s tribe have the right to intervene “at any point in the proceedings.”

The court may allow more than one tribe to intervene.

The ICWA does not authorize or require intervention in adoption proceedings. Nothing, however, prevents the court from allowing a tribe to intervene under a permissive intervention standard.
