The
court
should ask questions on the permanency planning goal that include the
following:
- What is the
permanency goal?
- How likely is
this goal to be achieved?
- When is this
goal likely to be achieved?
- Is this goal
still in the child’s best interests?
- Is DHS doing
concurrent planning?
- If the goal
is long-term foster care, why are other goals not in the child’s best
interests?
- Has DHS made
reasonable efforts to achieve the goal?
