D.  Suggested Questions on the Placement

The following questions may be asked about the placement.
  • Where is the child placed?
  • Is the child safe?
  • How is the child doing?
  • Are the child’s special needs being met?
  • Is it the least restrictive appropriate placement?
  • If the child is placed out of state, is this still appropriate?
  • Is the child’s placement stable?
  • Is a child over age sixteen getting independent living services?
C.R.S. § 19-3-213(1)(c)(I)
There is a rebuttable presumption that it is in the child’s best interest to be placed with the entire sibling group when out of home placement is recommended and an appropriate joint placement is located. This presumption may be rebutted by a preponderance of the evidence.
