Issues must be preserved by a timely objection before the magistrate or judge.

Constitutional issues may be raised for the first time on review. A party wishing to challenge the constitutionality of a statute must serve a copy of the pleading on the state attorney general and afford the attorney general an opportunity to be heard on the matter.
